Windsurfing Hood River Gorge - Oregon
July 20th, 2005. At Doug's Beach:
Big swell and fierce winds made airtime impossible to avoid:
Mount Hood, setting above the small town of Hood River, Oregon and a
peaceful evening on the Columbia River.
Daily sunset looking down the Gorge, toward Portland and the West
Coast.
Multnomah Falls - about 10 miles west of Hood River. I fell down this
waterfall (along the side) when I was 5 years old...
"Traffic-congestion" at the Event Site, with houses on the Washington
side overlooking. Situated near downtown Hood River, the Event Site
gets lots of traffic and can be jammed on the weekends.
The typical "staging area" scene, with windsurfing equipment scattered
all over the place and 40-50 somthing men rushing to get the correct
sail size.
