Las Vegas -- Fall 2000 Weekend Trip

The solitude and beauty of Red Rocks State Park lies in amazing contrast with the major
departure city, Las Vegas. Most of these pictures are from a moderate (5.6/5.7) route called
'Cat in the Hat'.
The approach to the climb. The particular crag we climbed is the small
cone-shaped formation in the middle of the picture:
